Enrichment
Jewish Community School offers an exclusive after-school enrichment program. At present cooking, chess, computers, music, art and Lego robotics classes are held on a weekly basis. Private piano and singing lessons are also offered on campus. Music, band, and choir classes take place during the regular school day. Our children’s choirs are well known throughout the desert area and are regularly asked to perform at various functions.
Field Trips
At JCSD we believe that hands-on learning is the best way to educate young minds. During the school year, our students go on a variety of field trips which cover and enhance a broad spectrum of the curriculum. We participate in the McCallum Theatre “Program for the Arts”, and as part of our outreach program, we visit retirement homes and hospitals and are involved in programs such as helping the homeless and the community food bank.
Aftercare
An outstanding aftercare and homework program is offered every afternoon either on a permanent or drop-in basis.
